Opening instructions for PlanDeer 10 for MS Excel 64-Bit
Version number 10.3.064
1. Pre-requisites
a.
Microsoftฎ
Excelฎ Version 2010 (or later) (64-Bit) on
Windows Operating System (64-Bit)
b.
A PDF Viewer (like
Adobeฎ Readerฎ) for viewing the help file. (Adobeฎ
Readerฎ is freely downloadable)
Note: This
version of PlanDeer 10 will not work with Microsoft Excel 32-Bit. Please get in
touch with support team of the publisher regarding this.
2. Instructions to install PlanDeer
10 for Microsoft Excel 64-Bit
1.
After you have
downloaded PlanDeer10_v10_3_064_Installer.zip,
extract the contents of this compressed file into a folder of your choice. (You can
extract this by using Windows Explorer in some versions of Windows OS or WinZip
or any other compatible application).

Please close Microsoft
Excel or any other Microsoft Office programs.

If you have a previous
version of PlanDeer installed,
please Uninstall through Add Remove Programs (or its equivalent, based
on your Operating System). If you do not have any previous version, proceed to
the next step.
4.
In the extracted
folder, you would find PlanDeer10_v10_3_064_Installer_x64.bat.
Run this batch file and follow the installation steps as the installer guides
you through.
Note: In case the installer requests for any permission to run the
application, you would need to provide the permission for the Installer to
continue.
5.
After the installation,
if you want to work with a sample file to familiarize yourself with the Product,
open Start->All Programs->PlanDeer->Sample
Plan. PlanDeer file opens up. Enable macros and then go ahead and try it
out.
6.
If you want to create a
new plan, open Start->All Programs->PlanDeer->Create
New Plan [from Read-Only Template] and start using the plan after enabling
the macros. You have to do a Save As to create your own plan from this
template.
For detailed
description of the features and functionalities in the tool, you can refer to
the help file PlanDeer10_Help.pdf. You can
access the help either through the PlanDeer menu that gets created (Start->All
Programs->PlanDeer->PlanDeer 10 Help) or from inside the PlanDeer file or open directly from the
PlanDeer 10 folder under My Documents
(or its
equivalent). When you open PlanDeer after installation, you can go
to About_PlanDeer worksheet to get a quick
view of the features available in the product, through Indicator Quick
Reference picture that is given in the worksheet.
Activation
After the installation,
the Product will continue to work for 30 days. To continue using the product
beyond the trial period, you would need to purchase license for the product and
activate the license. If you have already made the purchase and not yet
activated the license, see section Activation of License in the pdf
help file for the activation procedure. You can also view the activation
details at http://www.excelsquare.com/howtoactivate.
Note 1: PlanDeer 10 Version 10.3.064 does not require a new activation
code if you had activated PlanDeer Version 10.1.064 or later.
